The Memorial Union has 15 indoor rooms — ranging from board and conference rooms to presentation spaces to large-scale reception venues — that are available to the OSU and greater off-campus community. For outdoor events, the Memorial Union Quad and Student Experience Center Plaza are available for student organizations and OSU Departments to host tabling activities or larger events.

Alcohol Registration forms should be submitted to the Office of Risk Management at least three weeks prior to the event.
While battery-operated candles are encouraged, in some instances candles and open flame decorative lighting may be approved and granted an operational permit.
The recreational use of unmanned aircraft systems including drones over the MU Quad, SEC Plaza and inside MU-owned buildings is prohibited. For inquiries, contact the OSU Office of Research.

The MU Online Reservations System is for OSU faculty, staff and students. Only OSU emails are accepted.

The Leadership Center was created with funds donated by the family of Joyce Goudy Powell, a successful OSU alumnus whose life was tragically cut short. Joyce believed the experience she gained from involvement with MU activities and programs gave her the skills she needed to succeed; hence creation of a space dedicated to providing leadership opportunities.

La Raza literally translates to “the race” and denotes this room’s dedication to people of Latin, Hispanic, Chicano, and Mexican heritages. Renowned Mexican artist Hector Hernandez designed and painted a mural created specifically for this space.

Pan‐Afrikan is a term that seeks unification of all people of the African Diaspora. “Sankofa” symbolizes people taking from their past what is good and using it to make positive changes in their future. This room honors this culture and belief.

This meeting space includes round tables and is dedicated to the memory of George Stevens, MU Director, 1963‐1990.
Between the new SEC and the MU, the plaza features a rain-proof overhead structure that enables groups and events use of outdoor space even during inclement weather.
